Our monthly Dance Hall Days,
brought everyone together,
where we danced mostly WCS, along with a variety of other dance styles.
All of our dances started with a free lesson.
We also taught our granddaughter to dance.
There were class graduation parties .....
and many hours spent working on a cool WCS routine which was performed at several events.
Our dance classes were big, bold, and our students were beautiful.
Wedding choreography for couples was both heart warming and fulfilling when we saw them perform their special dance.

And just how much did it snow last winter??
Never mind the snow, we still made it to the March Boston Tea Party for a weekend of learning, dancing and competing.
Of course putting on workshops was always exciting when you have new, amazing material to share with your students.
Dave celebrated a BIG BD at our May dance. His granddaughter’s visit was the highlight of the evening.
As members of the Bring It On Down Demo Team, our first performance was a hip-hop routine ! Go figure !
Our good friend Nelson (and choreographer for the Bring It on Down Team) got us all excited with the news that he would be trying out for So You Think You Can Dance Canada! He did really well in the tryouts but did not make finals - Hey Nelson, 2009 is your year to shine!
Montreal audition
Mario Robau Jr. Swing Daddy of all time taught us once again that it’s not about the moves - it’s how you work the music at a weekend workshop in Syracuse.
The Great Big Party dance event in Toronto claims Dave for Saturday night deejaying.
Then it was off to Rochester, NY to attend the Jordan & Tatiana Workshop and catch up with our West Coast Swing mentor Jordan Frisbee. Ya hoo!
Back home, we had 3 days to pack and get ready for our jobs as assistant Directors for the premier of the Toronto Open Swing Dance Championships, a four day event held in Toronto July 08.
The Rain Gods were good to us for our BBQ/Pool Party and we only had to run for cover after dinner and just before dessert.
We concluded our summer with our perfect attendance (year 7) at the Wasaga Beach “Dancing for Miracles”. This is the largest fundraising dance event we attend. To date over $71,000 has been raised for the Canadian Cancer Society at this fabulous, “always a new a theme” extravaganza.
This event is near and dear to our hearts.
Volunteering and teaching at Maria Cirino’s Swing Niagara gets us prepped for the Fall 08 season of classes. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. whew !
John Lindo and Maria Cirino teamed up this year for our annual WCS Workshop, Dance Party,
NEWSFLASH!!! Lily turns the BIG ONE!
Our trip to Manchester, NH to see the American So You Think You Can Dance Tour was fabulous entertainment. Go to one of these tours if you can! It’s better than the TV Show!
Linda arrives in Penticton, BC to attend her daughter’s surprise baby shower...........
.... and ends up in the hospital with her daughter when she gave birth 2 weeks early to a beautiful baby boy Logan David Frost. Logan gave us a scare with a series of ailments which kept him in the hospital for days and days and days. Mom and baby are doing much better now (Grandma too!)
Dave arrives in Penticton to see his new grandson, and as you can see, Grandad is very happy.
Life is Good!
Happy New Year to Everyone!
